Time?

Where does it all go? Today our little princess is 7 months old and I can not figure out where the time has gone. Each month goes so quickly and she learns so many new things that I am in complete awe of her. She is quickly becoming her own little person who knows what she wants and when she wants it... Sound familiar? She must have some Jackson in her for sure! I am getting ready to finish up the season which is ending this weekend with state and my birthday, what a wonderful gift to finally have some time with DM and Bel. It has been so wonderful to come home with daylight left to burn and a baby still awake though we both have a hard time staying awake so DM has to wake us up on a daily basis to get us upstairs to bed. Is it horrible that I can't even make it through a condensed version of Big Brother?

Maxima enim..patientia virtus

It is amazing to see how a little extra personal time with my family allows me to feel more relaxed and gives me more patience both with my team and my students. Yet there is always that group that can drive you up a wall! If you have talked with me personally in the last month you know how hard it has been to deal with certain groups of people in my life, but fortunalty these people and the problems that came with them have fallen quiet (finally). Of course there is always something new to replace the old! I love teaching and coaching along with the challenges it brings to me on a daily basis, but I am searching deep within myself for that ability to not get frustrated when I am challenged.

Back to the important things in life (or the ones that are more interesting then my work life.)
Miss Bel got her first tooth on Tuesday night and boy oh boy was that FUN! She cried for some time and then it was like magic, or at least thats what they should rename baby orajel. Now she is ready to go! Thank goodness I was already not feeling well and had taken Wednesday off of work to try to catch up on sleep and get rid of what was making not feel well so the lost sleep was not a big deal. Other than that it has been a low key week for the most part and we are looking forward to the weekend.

Cute pictures with Grandma & Grandpa!

What a Crazy Week!

Finally it is February... Only 3 weeks until swim season is done! This week just happens to have been our "late" week. This means 5:30-7:30pm practices, normally not to bad, but our little one is back to waking up in the middle of the night to eat and it is hard to get used to it all over again. I also had to change two practices to 5:30 am because of conflicts with the team we share the pool with. This adds to the struggle of coaching this year to say the least. With my baby and DM at home while I'm at the pool I feel left out of a lot! Bel has decided that this is her week to show her daddy how well she can roll over and I have not seen this since the very first time she rolled at three weeks (she was upset with us for having to do tummy time) and three rolls in a row when she was 4 months. Since then DM has tried to capture her on video but when ever he gets the camera she cries and though I am filled in each night it just isn't the same. Well last night our little pumpkin was in a good mood and allowed her daddy to film her moves! She also was happy to share in her own words how she was feeling. It was so nice to watch when I got home from practice. What a nice way to end the day.
